Privacy notice
The short version: InterviewKata has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. I don't collect your personal data. Your preferences and quiz progress stay in your own browser.
1. What I collect
Nothing. There is no sign-up, no contact form, no analytics or tracking script, and no advertising. I can't see who visits the site or what they do on it.
2. What your browser stores
To remember your settings, the site saves a few small values in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and I can't see them:
- Theme
- light or dark mode, if you chose one
- Sketch diagrams
- whether hand-drawn diagram style is on
- Code language
- your preferred language for code examples
- Narration
- whether spoken narration is on for step-through players
- Tours
- whether you've already seen a page's guided tour
- Review deck
- the quiz questions you saved and when each is due for review
You can delete them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. The site works without them; you'll just get the defaults.
3. Services your browser contacts
Like any website, loading a page means your browser connects to the servers that deliver it. They receive your IP address and basic browser details as part of that connection, under their own privacy policies:
- GitHub Pages
- hosts the website and the audio files (GitHub privacy statement)
- Google Fonts
- delivers the fonts (Google privacy policy)
- jsDelivr
- delivers the animation library, and the sketch library if you turn sketch mode on (jsDelivr privacy policy)
If you follow a link to another website, such as LeetCode or a documentation page, that site's own privacy policy applies.
4. Children
The site is meant for students and working engineers. It doesn't knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
5. Changes
If the site ever starts collecting data (for example analytics or a newsletter), this notice will be updated first, and the date at the top will change.
